| links | The American Bashkir Curly Horse, although unknown in Britain,
is a very ancient breed. Pictures of these horses are depicted in old native Indian
drawings in America. They are very versatile and make wonderful ridden horses, covering any sphere. |
|
| We imported this breed from Canada in 2000 and now have a growing
herd of pure and part bred American Bashkir Curlies from our pure, registered stallion.
The breed is known for it's inquisitive and friendly disposition and it's ability to learn very quickly. |

|
| American Bashkir Curly Horses are excellent for endurance and
perform to a very high standard in dressage, due to their ability and eagerness to
learn and please. Their gentle, calm nature and strong solid build, makes them a super ride for children and adults alike. They will carry a man easily. The heavily curled winter coat makes them look very bulky, yet in summer they have a wonderful refined look. |
|
|
| Curlies are very hardy and live out all winter in temperatures
up to -40 degrees, without rugs. They have a short back, large flat knees and a short
cannon bone. Hooves have little growth and are rounded, hard and neat, requiring little farrier
attention. Unless being ridden on rough or hard ground continually, shoeing is not normally required.
The breed ranges from 13.1hh to 15.2hh |

|
| Our Stallion "Gringo" registered ABC P 2281 stands at 15.1 h high
and has the most placid nature. He is very easy to handle even around mares, and has
produced quality pure and part bred foals. He is 7 years old and has required his hooves trimmed
only 3 times in his 7 years. Gringo is standing at stud for a fee of £200.00 |

|
| The hair of the American Bashkir Curly has hypo-allergenic
qualities, allowing most people with horse allergies to be around this breed, with no
or little allergy. We have had people coming from many places to try out this theory
and most has been pleasantly surprised . The hair can be spun and knitted. WE CURRENTLY HAVE A SELECTION OF HORSES FOR SALE |
